Type gray cast iron welding rod

Adding an appropriate amount of graphitizing elements to the coating of steel-core cast iron welding rods can turn the weld into gray cast iron when cooled slowly. If the cooling rate is fast, a white cast iron will be produced and it will be difficult to process. The cooling rate has a great influence on the machinability and weld structure, because the operating process is different from that of general cold welding electrodes. This electrode requires continuous welding and heat preservation after welding to slowly cool the weld. The welding, structure, properties and color of gray cast iron are basically similar to the base metal. Defects in parts of small thin-walled parts with low stiffness can be welded without preheating. Generally, they should be preheated to the left and right before welding, and slowly cooled after welding. This can prevent cracks and white spots.
